Galley Gourmet's Cliff House B&B
(NEWS: We are keeping last year's rates for 2009!)

Guests enjoying morning coffee and tea on the front deck.
What a nice way to start your day!
"Hello there! Would you like to relax, put your feet up for a while and feel renewed and refreshed?"
"Well then, you're in for a treat because Marty and Marion Owen, the guys that brought you the award-winning Galley Gourmet dinner cruises, have a new B&B. It opens April 2008 and get this, it's right on the ocean..."
Our sea otter friend, who often waves as he slips by our house, is just one of the attractions we offer to our bed and breakfast guests.
A quiet neighborhood...
You deserve to relax. Located in a quiet, comfortable cliffside neighborhood overlooking the entrance channel to Kodiak's largest boat harbor, our year-round bed and breakfast is just minutes from downtown Kodiak. In fact, it's a woodsy, waterfront walk to get there. And since our home faces due south, you are blessed with spectacular views of the ocean. Watch boats cruise by, along with whales, jumping salmon, eagles, sea lions. Gee, you might not want to get out of bed.
Speaking of beds, our bedroom furniture is built by American Woodcraft in Tacoma, Washington. And you can look forward to a wonderful night's sleep on our new, not-too-soft, not-too-firm, mattresses. The Dromma bedlinens (from Ikea) are densely woven from fine yarn yielding a soft material with a silk feel and luster.
Throughout our home and B&B space you'll discover many examples of Marion's art work, including her photographs (printed on canvas) and glass mosaics, like this forget-me-not mosaic that surrounds the dining area at the top of the stairs leading to the Suite of Murals.
Marion is a master [organic] gardener and the grounds are surrounded by gardens, mostly to provide salad greens, vegetables, edible flowers and herbs for our gourmet dinner cruises.
We realize you have specific needs when you travel, so we offer two sets of accommodations:
1. The Suite of Murals
Named for the three bedrooms that feature a landscape mural on one of the walls in each room. Each mural depicts a quiet scenic; nice and relaxing. Take a look...

Detail of Monet mural, painted by the Kodiak High School Art Club. This room features a luxurious queen sized bed and a view of the ocean. Rate: $125 per night.

Mountains and wild rose mural, also painted by the Kodiak High School Art Club. This room is uniquely designed in that it features twin beds (with the most comfortable mattress you've ever slept on), silkeen sheets, closet, hand-crafted dresser, sink, makeup mirror and more. Rate; $150 per night. The entire suite, which can sleep 6 people, goes for $375 per night.

Fireweed mural which is also painted by the Kodiak High School Art Club. Like the room above, this room is uniquely designed in that it features twin beds (with the most comfortable mattress you've ever slept on), silkeen sheets, closet, hand-crafted dresser, sink, makeup mirror and more. Rate; $150 per night. The entire suite, which can sleep 6 people, goes for $375 per night.

Our street address is 1223 W. Kouskov. From downtown Kodiak, head north on Mission Road. After about .5 mile, turn right on Spruce Street; then turn right on Father Herman. Take an immediate left onto Kouskov. Our place is a sage green house with light tan on top.
